    Since 2021, GreenRoots has been pioneering innovation in waste management within the Indian setting. This young and dynamic startup is working on solving India's wastes problem by coming up with state-of-the-art segregation and recycling systems. The star product is Smart Bin, enabled with AI technology for auto-sorting into recyclable, compostable, and landfill wastes.

     

    GreenRoots deals with municipalities in large cities, and it has brought down municipal landfill waste by as much as 40% wherever their bins get deployed. It also conducts education campaigns to make people aware of proper waste disposal practices, hence making them a complete solution provider in the sustainability space.

     

  2. SolarTech: Powering Homes with Renewable Energy

     

    Based in Germany, SolarTech has been the raised change in the renewable energy market since its very inception in 2022. Stated anew, their innovative solar panels are made of flexible and lightweight material that can be installed on any surface, whether roof, window, or even vehicles.

     

    This technology from SolarTech has opened solar power even further to people, especially in developing countries with the possibility of low electricity access. They have launched initiatives in India to give rural areas solar energy kits, hence empowering such communities with reliable and clean energy sources.

     

  3. EcoPlast: An Innovative Company Converting Plastic Waste into Useful Products

     

    This UK-based startup is trying to stem the global plastic-waste crisis by turning plastic waste into high-quality, re-usable materials. Since 2023, EcoPlast has been leading a unique chemical process to break down plastics and remold them into products as diversified as furniture, building materials, or even fashion items.

     

    Their collaboration with fashion designers has led to sustainable clothing lines— proof that eco-friendly does not have to mean 'not cool.' EcoPlast's work is reducing not just the number of plastic landfills but also promoting continuous circles of material use through reusing and recycling in a circular economy.

     

  4. Agrify: Sustainable Agriculture for a Growing Population

     

    Agrify is an innovative Dutch startup that is offering innovations to agriculture through vertical farming. Agrify was founded in 2021. With a water reduction of 95% compared to normal agriculture and the ability to establish them in urban areas, thus avoiding long-distance food transportation, Agrify's vertical farms are very promising.

     

    Agrify has been working hand in glove with Indian farmers in the rollout of its technology, improving crop yields and supplying fresh produce to urban centers. The ability to grow a diverse range of crops throughout the year makes its farms food-safe and sustainable.

     

  5. CleanSea: Cleaning Our Oceans One Robot at a Time

     

    Founded in 2021, is a US-based setup by CleanSea to join hands in creating an autonomous robot for cleaning up ocean litter. Enhanced with multiple sensors and AI technology, this robot identified waste plastics in the ocean for efficient collection.

     

    CleanSea has installed these robots along the extensive coastline of India and is working hand in glove with the coastal communities, impacting the reduction of marine pollution. Their activities are not only clearing the seas but also saving marine life and ensuring a healthier ecosystem.
